Boris Andrianov

Boris Andrianov is a well–known Russian cellist who performs on the world's largest stages and prestigious festivals. The musician attaches particular importance to performances in Russia, whether they are large cultural centers, small towns or remote villages where concerts have never been held before. He is a leader and an active participant in a number of international and national projects aimed at developing the national musical life. These include the VIVACELLO, VIVARTE and Musical Expedition festivals.

He graduated from the Gnessin Moscow State Music School (class of Vera Birina), the Moscow Conservatory (class of Professor Natalia Shakhovskaya) and the Hans Eisler Higher School of Music in Berlin (class of Professor David Geringas). Winner of international competitions in Zagreb (named after Antonio Yanigro), Johannesburg, Hanover (D. D. Shostakovich Classica Nova), Paris (Mstislav Rostropovich Competition) and South Korea (named after Isan Yun). Laureate of the XI International Tchaikovsky Competition. Honored Artist of Russia.

He actively collaborates with contemporary composers, has repeatedly presented premieres of new compositions. Has a diverse discography. He teaches at the Moscow Conservatory. He plays an instrument made by Carlo Bergonzi from the State Collection of Unique Musical Instruments.
