"Diaghilev" 

Synthetic musical performance based on the play by Maria Druzhinina "Breakfast with Diaghilev".

The performance "Dyagilev" is the story of the birth, flourishing and decline of the creative association "World of Art", told on behalf of its founders and their associates: Sergei Diaghilev, Dmitry Filosofov, Lev Bakst, Alexander Benois, Valentin Serov, Zinaida Gippius and others.

The concert program is composed of works by composers with whom Diaghilev collaborated to some extent in Paris. The first place among his permanent creative partners and like-minded people belongs to Igor Fedorovich Stravinsky, whose name is associated with many revolutionary breakthroughs in musical theater, the loudest scandals and the greatest triumphs of the Russian Seasons. 

The final program will open with the Sonata of Antonio Vivaldi, an Italian composer originally from Venice, whose creative genius flourished in this city. He wrote operas for Venetian theatres, created many famous instrumental concertos, sonatas and vocal compositions for the conservatory-boarding house Pio Ospedale della Pietà, where he was the musical mentor of youth for more than 30 years.
