Lukas Geniušas was born in 1990 into a family of musicians. Graduated from the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory (class of Prof. Vera Gornostaeva) and continued his studies at the Moscow Conservatory as a trainee assistant.

In his youth, he was a scholarship holder of the Mstislav Rostropovich Foundation, was awarded the Young Talents of the 21st Century grant, and the Young Talents Federal Scholarship. In 2008 he became a gold medalist of the VII Youth Delphic Games of Russia. Winner of the International Gina Bachauer Competition in the USA (2010), winner of the international competitions named after F. Chopin in Warsaw (2011, 2nd prize), named after P. I. Tchaikovsky in Moscow (2015, 2nd prize), winner of the Deutscher Pianistenpreis Prize (Frankfurt, 2012).

The pianist's concerts are held on the world's largest stages. He performed with many leading orchestras and outstanding musicians of our time, including G. Kremer, Y. Temirkanov, V. Gergiev, S. Sondetskis, S. Duthoit, D. Sitkovetsky, A. Boreiko, M. Brunello, M. Maisky and others .

In 2011, Geniušas took part in the production of the ballet Lost Illusions by Leonid Desyatnikov at the Bolshoi Theater (piano solo), in 2014 he took part in a performance tour at the Opéra Garnier (Paris).

The musician performed at festivals in Verbier, PianoauxJacobins in Toulouse, 1001 Notes in Limoges, Faces of Modern Pianoism and Arts Square in St. Petersburg, Opera A priori and Return in Moscow, etc. He recorded a number of discs for NIFC , Art Classic, DUX, Piano Classics, "Melody". In particular, in June 2017, a concert recording of the piano trios of M. Ravel, D. Shostakovich and M. Weinberg (with Ailen Pritchin and Alexander Buzlov) was released in the Melody Apriori series.
