Bogdan Dekhtyaruk
French horn

Bogdan Dekhtyaruk was born in 1992 in Uman (Ukraine). He studied at the vocal and choral school, from the age of 12 he began to study the trumpet. After graduating from the Odessa P. S. Stolyarsky Secondary Special Music School, he entered the Odessa National Music Academy named after A. V. Nezhdanova (class of Igor Borukh). In 2010 he transferred to study at the St. Petersburg State Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatory (class of Boris Taburetkin). Since 2014, he has also played the French horn and trombone.

Laureate of international competitions in Vorzel (Ukraine), Chisinau (Moldova) and St. Petersburg (named after E.A. Mravinsky). He performed as first trumpet in orchestras with such conductors as Yuri Temirkanov, Maris Jansons, Charles Duthoit, Vladimir Ashkenazy, Kent Nagano, Ion Marin, Nikolai Alekseev, Vasily Sinaisky, Mikhail Yurovsky, Thomas Sanderling, John Nelsons. He has performed at prestigious concert halls, including Carnegie Hall (New York), Musikverein (Vienna), Berlin Philharmonic Hall, Chicago Symphony Hall, Suntory Hall in Tokyo, Concertgebouw (Amsterdam) and others.

In 2012, he was admitted to the Honored Collective of Russia Academic Symphony Orchestra of the St. Petersburg Philharmonic named after D. D. Shostakovich. Since 2017 he has been the accompanist of the trumpet group. He also performs with chamber and solo programs.
