Maria Meerovich

Maria Meerovich  was born in St. Petersburg. From the age of eight she began performing at the St. Petersburg Philharmonic. She studied at the St. Petersburg State Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatory. In 1990, after receiving a scholarship from the Alex de Vries and Yehudi Menuhin Foundations (Fonds Alex de Vries - Y. Menuhin Foundation), Maria moved to Belgium, where she graduated from the Antwerp Royal Conservatory. After graduating from the conservatory, she began teaching there.

Maria Meerovich is the laureate of the first prizes of the G. B. Viotti (Italy) and C. Hennen (Netherlands) competitions. She has performed in such famous halls as the Concertgebouw (Amsterdam), the Champs-Elysées Theater (Paris), Opera City Hall (Tokyo), the Municipal Theater in Rio de Janeiro, the National Center for the Performing Arts  in Pekin.

The artist took part in festivals in Schleswig-Holstein, Bad Kissingen (Germany), Martha Argerich festivals in Beppu (Japan) and Lugano (Switzerland), in Aix-en-Provence and Beauvais (France), New Port (USA) and many others. She has performed with famous orchestras, including the London Philharmonic, the Sofia Philharmonic, the English Chamber Orchestra, the Novosibirsk Symphony Orchestra, the Stuttgart Chamber Orchestra, the National Taiwan Symphony Orchestra and others.

Among the stage partners of Maria Meerovich are Pinchas Zuckerman, Maxim Vengerov, Marta Argerich, Vadim Repin, Dora Schwartzberg, Daisin Kasimoto, Sergey Nakaryakov, Boris Berezovsky and others.
