Mikhail Shilenkov

Mikhail Shilenkov graduated from the State School of Wind Art (class of Mikhail Gordeev) and the Moscow Conservatory (class of Professor Valery Popov). Since 2003 – soloist of the Tchaikovsky Grand Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Vladimir Fedoseev.

He played in an ensemble with Alexey Lyubimov, Alexey Utkin, Tigran Alikhanov, Denis Shapovalov, Nikita Borisoglebsky, Alexey Bogorad and many others; performed with orchestras conducted by Kurt Mazur, Alexander Lazarev, Jean-Claude Kazadezius, Alexander Rudin, Vladimir Spivakov, Vasily Sinaisky, Yuri Simonov, Mikhail Pletnev, Theodor Currentzis.

He plays instruments made by Puchner (modern bassoon) and Wolf (baroque bassoon). In 2005, he took part in a master class by Alberto Grazzi. One of the founders of the ensemble of ancient wind instruments L'esprit du Vent. Since 2004 – artist of the orchestra Pratum Integrum. He also collaborates with ensembles The Pocket Symphony, La Villa Barocca, La Stravaganza. Participated in the festivals Telemann-Festtage (Germany), La Folle Journée (France), EarlyMusic (St. Petersburg), "December Evenings".
