Nikolay Sivchuk

Born in 1981 in Surgut. Graduated from the Surgut College of Music (class of Leonid Kurakin) and the Gnessin Russian Academy of Music (class of Prof. Vyacheslav Semenov). He was a scholarship holder of the New Names program.

Winner of the international competitions "Baltika-harmonica" in St. Petersburg (I prize, 1997), "Delphic Games" in Saratov (Gold medal, 1999), named after V. V. Andreev in St. Petersburg (II prize, 2000), " World Cup ”(Hungary - Slovakia, I prize, 2000), in Klingenthal (Germany, 2005).

In a duet with Alexey Peresidly, in 2001 he won the All-Russian competition "Ugoria" (and also became a laureate in the solo category), in 2002 - at the International Competition in Klingenthal (Germany). In 2003, the duo recorded their debut album Light and Shadows at the Mosfilm studio, and in 2006 they won the Grand Prix at a competition in Shanghai (PRC).

Nikolai Sivchuk performs with solo projects, as well as in ensembles of various compositions. Many of the artist's programs synthesize different genres and include arrangements of popular classical masterpieces. In particular, the All That Dance program combines dance styles from the world from Argentinean (Piazzolla tango) to Irish (Riverdance). An important place in the musician's repertoire is occupied by transcriptions of works by Russian classics.

Toured in Germany, France, Finland , Denmark, Serbia, Hungary, Portugal, Spain, China; performed in the halls of the Moscow Philharmonic and the House of Music, the Tretyakov Gallery, the Kremlin Chambers of Suzdal, the F. Liszt Concert Hall in Budapest, the UNESCO Hall in Paris. Collaborates with Vadim Kholodenko, Elena Revich, Boris Andrianov, Veronika Kozhukharova, Dmitry Illarionov, Rem Urasin, Andrey Gugnin  and  others
