Born in 1976 in Moscow. He studied at Music School No. 13 (class of Larisa Svetlova), the Gnessin Moscow Music School (class of Natalya Fikhtengolts), the Royal College of Music in London (class of Professor Felix Andrievsky) and postgraduate studies at the London Guildhall Higher School of Music and Drama. Artistic director of record label Quartz Music Ltd. The author of the idea and artistic director of the Moscow Festival of Chamber Music "Return". He toured in Europe, Japan, Mexico, played in the largest concert halls of the world. Has performed with orchestras conducted by Andrew Davis, Lev Marquis, Saulius Sondetskis, Vladimir Ziva, Vladimir Ponkin, Philip Chizhevsky. Played with the ASCH trio, decibel ensemble, Brian Irvine Ensemble. Collaborates with the Moscow Ensemble of Contemporary Music.

He starred in the film "Moscow" by Alexander Zeldovich and participated in the recording of music for this and other films. The first performer of a number of compositions by Leonid Desyatnikov, Elena Langer, Brian Irvine, Ed Bennett, Artyom Vasiliev, Dobrinka Tabakova and others. Participated in Russian premieres of works by James Macmillan, Francis Poulenc, John Tavener, Frederic Rzhevsky, Giacinto Schelsi and others.

The musician's discography includes discs released by Black Box Music, Quartz, ECM, Harmonia Mundi, Melodiya. Among them are Tabakova's music collection String Paths (2013), nominated for a Grammy Award; album Dance of Shadows (2014), named one of the "discs of the year" in Fanfare magazine. Desyatnikov's music album Sketches to Sunset/Russian Seasons (2017) and Hindemith's chamber music CD recorded with pianist Alexander Kobrin (2019) were nominated for the ICMA award.
